Current Favorite Makeup Tools and Products

So I don’t post makeup content very often. Mainly because I’m not a makeup artist and I typically don’t go as in-depth into beauty content as other beauty content creators would. That is completely their domain, and I respect that. However, I enjoy makeup. I like learning about it, applying it, and playing with it, and through the years I’ve come up with a few favorites. This list is not sponsored nor does it include a product from every single category, but they are favorites that I use quite regularly.

Morphe Flawless Beauty Sponge-I had seen so many beauty focused Youtubers talking about this beauty sponge. When I lost my old sponge and I saw this on Nykaa, I immediately added it to my cart and placed the order. I haven’t looked back since. There is a reason why so many people recommend this sponge. The application process is very very smooth and it literally blends all the products into the skin.

Huda Beauty Bombrows Microshade Pencil-I started filling in my brows a couple months ago, and it is now a part of my daily makeup routine. For more on that check out this blog post. So far, my favorite brow pencil is the Huda Beauty Bombrows Microshade Pencil in the shade soft black. I’m able to fill in, brush and shape my brows so they frame my face well. I’m nearly done with my 2nd pencil already!

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Highlighter-Opal–Another Nykaa find before they discontinued it. I LOVE it. The gorgeous pearly glow is perfect for daytime, nighttime, and everything in between. Not to mention it goes with every look.

Benefit Cosmetics Hoola Matte Bronzer-The first bronzer I ever bought. During the first wave of COVID, I attended a virtual makeup class and this bronzer was recommended to me to try. When I started using it, I fell in love. It’s so easy and multifunctional that whenever I’m feeling lazy to sculpt my face, simply brushing this in the hollows of my cheeks and even the creases of my eyes adds a little something extra to my face.

Kay Beauty Matte Action Lip Liner-A recommendation from the American Indian Beauty-focused content creator-Arshia Moorjani. I bought the shade “Fame” to give it a try and it is my favorite matte brown lip liner yet. The finish is smooth, the color is beautiful, and it’s very brown skin friendly. You’ll get it this on Nykaa as well.
