When it came down to writing this blog post, I got writer’s block. If you google “Christmas blog post ideas” so many options that come up, from gift ideas to makeup trends to party ideas! It’s actually overwhelming, and I kept thinking “ok what can I contribute?” Then, it finally dawned on me: let’s get a little personal with my own Christmas tradition. So Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year. I have very fond childhood memories of it with the Christmas parties, decorating, school projects, and even movies. Even now, I make it a point to decorate a Christmas tree and watch my share of Christmas movies on Netflix. You can see my previous Christmas blog post for more on this.

Despite have so many memories of Christmas, we’ve still managed to create brand new traditions as adults. Last two Christmases, I’ve had the privilege of coming back to my hometown to spend the holiday season with my parents and sister. In doing so, we created a new tradition of exchanging stocking stuffers on Christmas Day. Rather than buying a significant amount of gifts for our loved ones or not doing Christmas at all, we opt to get cute stocking stuffers within a certain price range, which are put under the tree until they are opened on Christmas morning. It’s so fun and a cute way to get in the spirit of the holiday. Last year, my husband participated in Christmas for the first time, by going out and shopping, wrapping them (100% for effort), and putting them under the tree. It was the cutest and funniest thing ever!
With this Christmas, bring in new traditions with the old and create new memories! It’s the holiday season and it calls for all kinds of celebration. For 2019, this is my last blog post. A very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you! I will see you in the New Year!
