An Updated List of Podcasts I listen To

So as many of you know, I love a good podcast. I started listening to podcasts last year for a couple of reasons: 1. To tune out any noise around me, and 2. To expand my mind. The events of last year allowed me to change perspective, which opened me up the world of podcasts. Since then, my weekly listens of podcasts has only grown. In fact compared to the few I mentioned in this blog post, I have so many more that I listen to. So here is a list of podcasts I currently listen to throughout the week. I’m sure you’ll find something you like!

Girls Gotta Eat-An unfiltered, comedy podcast about dating, sex, and relationships hosted by 2 women living in New York. The episodes are between 90 minutes and 2 hours long, and I am laughing through nearly every episode. It’s an ideal listen for today’s women.

Bossbabe– The first podcast I ever listened to, and I was immediately hooked. This podcasts includes 45 minutes-1 hour conversations with people running successful businesses, discussing the behind-the-scenes and what it takes. I always feel so inspired after listening to these episodes.

Potterless-For all my Harry Potter nerds! This podcast is the journey of a man in his mid-2os who started reading the Harry Potter books for the first time, watched the movies, and now is watching all the fanfiction. Each episode is very funny as he describes his taken a given chapter or scene. I highly recommend for all my potterheads.

On Purpose with Jay Shetty-One of the best mental health related podcasts I’ve come across. Jay Shetty has a variety of content-from interviewing fascinating guests to giving simple lessons to navigate life. This podcast has expanded my mind in so many ways, and I’ve always felt empowered listening to every episode.

The Woke Desi-An excellent podcast talking about issues in our South Asian Community. Run by two American Desi women, The Woke Desi brings to light all types of issues and topics that are prevalent within the South Asian community.

Holistic Healing with Vasudha Rai-If you don’t know this already, I am a huge fan of Vasudha Rai-with her book Glow, I was able to learn about the benefits Indian food items both in terms of health and beauty. Now she is expanding her expertise by talking to a different expert every week about a certain aspect of achieving holistic health-from topics like acupressure to fitness to busting diet myths; I’ve found myself taking notes during this podcast for sure.

A Millennial Mind-This one is a newer listens. Hosted by British Indian Shivani Pau, this podcast explores the stories/businesses of South Asian millennials. Listening to this podcast just makes me proud of how far our community has come in making its mark in the world.

Business Casual-This podcast is an extension of a newsletter I follow called Morning Brew. It addresses the larger questions in business and each conversation is fascinating that I’m always hooked. The best part is that these episodes are maximum 45 minutes long.

Getting Curious with Jonathan Van Ness-If you watch Queer Eye, you’d know who Jonathan Van Ness is. His podcast covers every topic under the sun, basically addressing a topic he is curious about. I love his energy so I’ll always listen to his show.

Business of Fashion-I like fashion and good conversation. This podcast combines both of those things. Not only am I introduced to new perspectives, but I’m able to listen to fascinating points of view that are going on within the fashion industry. It’s given me a new perspective for the entire industry as a whole.

Women of Impact-Hosted by a woman who went from housewife to a founder of a huge company; I can relate to her story. Lisa Bilyeu uses her podcast to interview powerful women from all walks of life to share their story. I always feel inspired, empowered, and proud listening to the stories of these women. In fact this podcast actually propels me to move forward in many many ways.

The MindBodyGreen Podcast-For all my health nerds, host and CEO of MindBodyGreen-Jacob Wachob has open, candid conversations with guests who are impacting the world of health and well-being. He addresses many questions we have about health today.

The Glossy Podcast-Another podcast about fashion, The Glossy Podcast includes individuals from different fashion companies to discuss their story. Again, my mind is blown by how much brands are doing and what brands are out there. Therefore, with every conversation I am fascinated.

The Michelle Obama Podcast-My most recent listen. I admire Michelle Obama. I’ve read her book and seen her documentary. Although there are only a few episodes out, I am excited to see where her podcast goes.

The Glossy Beauty Podcast-Another podcast by Glossy-except discussing all things beauty, wellness, and self care. Through the podcast I’m once again learning about so many companies and their stories. Super fascinating to me.

Skimm This-My weekly news fix. Just like Business Casual, this podcast is an extension a newsletter I follow called The Skimm. Their podcast is a weekly roundup of current events, especially in the U.S. It breaks down the complicated stories and explains them in an understandable way.

The Ranveer Show-Another very unique podcast. This podcast is hosted by Content Creator, “Beer Biceps” aka Ranveer Allahbadia. Each episode covers a very unique topic, and it expands my mind every time. All the topics are under the realm of self improvement.

Pretty Big Deal with Ashley Graham-Currently on a break until the next season, Ashley Graham interviews her celebrity friends to have empowering, fascinating conversations. Being a model and body activist herself, her conversations are always about pushing boundaries.

Don’t Be a Diva with Diva and Gabriella-A podcast started by two women living in the public eye. Diva and Gabriella cover all topics under the sun and is so relevant to women in India today.

So there you have it, an extensive list of all the podcasts I’m currently listening to. Listening to these podcasts gets me through my week. If not all of them, check out a few of them to just expand your headspace. I promise you’ll enjoy it.
