5 Random things that excited me about Aisha’s first year

So when it came to planning this week’s blog post, I was extremely conflicted on if I should make it about Women’s Day, which was yesterday, or Aisha turning 1 year old-also yesterday. Naturally, Aisha won. Before becoming a mother, I had no idea these small random things would make me super excited while just watching her. So here are some of the most exciting things about her!

Changing Wardrobe every 3 months-For the most part, babies go through about 4 size changes a year. Every time she’d go up a size, I’d get extremely excited because I would get to dress her up in new clothes and create a whole new wardrobe with her. Like the 3-6 month size-was her first summer, 6-9 month size was her first autumn, and 9-12 was her first winter. Oh did I have fun dressing her up in the different weather patterns.

Taking her Outdoors-So Aisha LOVES being outdoors. So I still get very excited taking her outside so she can experience the natural air. She loves being on the grass, looking at the flowers, and even playing with the dirt-that one is the most entertaining.

Trying all the Organic Baby Care Products-I’m blown away by how many organic baby brands are in India. And I want to try them all, and I’m having fun doing that. When Aisha was born, I started with a generic brand, which most of my friends started with. However, I slowly moved to other ones as she got older, and I’m into it. Seeing her Preferences-It’s so fascinating to see her personality. Like what she gravitates towards and what she dislikes. For example, she’s the calmest outdoors amongst the flowers. And currently, she’s always not liked being around too many loud noises. It’s mind blowing how much she is able to communicate.

Taking her Everywhere-Even though it’s a lot. I love taking her everywhere. Seeing her explore new spaces and new faces is super exciting to me. I am that parent that gets excited when I get to take my daughter to a birthday party. I’m not sure how long it’s going to last, but I’m definitely into it.

So those are the few things  that really excited me in Aisha’s first year. I can’t believe she’s a year old already! So Crazy. What excites you most about your little ones??
