Next week, we have Amazon Prime day (Oct 10-11), which is the perfect time to stock up basically everything from everyday items to household upgrades to gifts (hello Diwali, Christmas, Hannukah, and anything else that’s being celebrated). However, while I do have a whole bunch of items in my cart, today I’m going to be talking about some of them most random, yet most useful, items that I have got my hands on from the various corners of Amazon-mostly under the category of “household essentials”. So enjoy!
Soft Arm Tray Table-One of my biggest pet peeves with living room furniture is not having a hard surface to place a drink, while sitting or doing mundane tasks (aka folding laundry). So this nifty little thing is extremely useful, comes in a variety of colors, and does not damage the furniture. I love that the phone/tablet stand rotates so I can angle it to any spot I’m sitting at. You can see this in my tiktok here.
Over the Sink Colander Basket-Another super handy, dandy find. An over the sink colander, that’s flexible to fit over just about any sink. I love using it as basket to wash my fruits, veggies, and pasta, and at the end of the day I use it an extra shelf to hold my hand washed dishes. Talk about mult-purpose right?
Car Gap Filler-Another item I shared on my tiktok. Super super handy. As someone who drops everything in that gap between the seat and the central consul, this is a major lifesaver. It closes the gap, and adds more storage, which is a total win win!
Clip On Strainer-As someone who makes a fair amount of pasta for my toddler and being a fan of one pot meals, this clip on strainer is a serious lifesaver. It can be clipped on to any pot to drain the water out any freshly boiled food items- be it pasta or rice. Plus, it’s dishwasher safe. Before using this, I would feel the need to use a spoon to hold back the pasta while I drain the water, so this just saves me so much hassle.
Super Light Laundry Hamper-This was actually one of my my first random Amazon finds. One thing I cannot stand is clutter, especially when it’s clean laundry that needs to be folded. Before this hamper, I would take my clean clothes out of the dryer and place them on one of the couches. It would ultimately be an untidy spot in my living room which was a serious eye sore. However, with the hamper, I’m able to carry it to the laundry area, empty the dryer, carry it back to the living room, and then fold the clothes at my convenience by taking things out of the hamper one by one. Just item reduces all that clutter. Amazing right?? It’s also in my tiktok here!
