It’s truly my favorite time of the year: Christmas. I love the energy, the vibes, decorating, just about everything. If I had it my way, I would make Aisha a part of everything. Decorate the tree with her, take her all the Christmas events, and watch all the movies with her. But alas, she’s quite little, we’re still in a pandemic, and Christmas is quite a busy month in general. Nevertheless, there are a few things that I am doing to create Aisha’s first Christmas memories!
Personalized Ornament: First step for me: to personalize! I got a Tiny Trove ornament from My Baby Babbles that has her name and this year as her first Christmas, which she can hopefully keep for years to come. In fact, I made it a point that she “puts” it on the tree as her contribution to the family Christmas tree this year. I chose to do this as “her thing” instead of a present because she already has so many toys as it is. Therefore, I hope this is something she’ll always treasure.
Christmas Dress: I couldn’t not do Christmas without a Christmas dress! And she’s got two! One of them is from Pony & Peony, and she wore when she turned 9 months and the other one she’ll be getting when my parents visit on Christmas eve.
Christmas Music: The Christmas Songs for Kids 2021 playlist on Spotify is her jam these days. She’s started her version of dancing to the beats of the Christmas carols. Plus it gets me in the festive mood as well.
So those are a few ways I’m trying to create special memories for Aisha’s first Christmas. To all of you, a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
These are such cute ways to celebrate her first Christmas. I love that you got her a personalized ornament.
