3 Fashion Trends and Loved I’ve Tried in the Last Couple Weeks

Have you ever felt that when you go to a different place you just tend to try different things? Maybe it’s different foods, a new style, a new mode of transportation-whatever it is. For me, it’s almost always trying out new clothes or trends. This time it’s no different. After being in the US for awhile, I got inspired to give a few fashion trends a try. If you’ve been seeing my posts on Instagram, you’ll already be familiar with these, but you’ll get the juicy details here :).

Headbands-So I wore headbands in elementary, junior high, and (I think) the beginning of high school. Headbands were my go-to hairstyle, and every outfit had a matching headband.  When I saw headbands making a comeback, I was extremely skeptical on how they would look. Especially the knotted ones, I honestly had no idea what to even think about it. When I first tried on a headband after so many years, I thought I looked ridiculous. Nevertheless, with the right hairstyle, I fell in love all over again :).

Mom Shorts-Seriously, how ridiculous do these even sound? Mom Shorts?! What do you mean by that? Mom clothes are loose and frumpy? At least that was the first thought I had. And hearing about mom shorts sounded so odd. In my head, that meant lose fitting, odd length and completely unflattering, and that’s what it looked like on the models (to me). Oh I’m so glad I was wrong. The sales associate at American Eagle talked me into trying them, so I skeptically bought one pair. I love them. I know, I’m late and it’s the end of summer. BUT I’m into these. Pairing these with a basic T-shirt is oh so simple yet so stylish.

Jogger Jeggings– Another thing where I was like, what is this. How do joggers and jeggings go in the same sentence? Low and behold, I was pleasantly surprised yet again. They’re just the right amount of comfortable, yet well-fitting at the same time. The best part is one can easily dress them up or dress them down depending on the occasion. So you’ll definitely see me getting another pair :).
